  • Our customer was performing an enhanced oil recovery redevelopment of a mature oilfield
  • An infill drilling campaign required well testing capability during the well unloading operations from the existing production facility, there was also a zero flaring policy in place
  • The customer had concerns about their existing well test equipment and associated instrumentation
  • The customer required a portable clamp on meter to augment and verify the performance of their existing metering
Expro Excellence
  • Expro proposed a non-intrusive clamp on SONAR meter which provided:
  • Metering at the wellhead on Water Alternating Gas wells (WAG)
  • Verification and recalibration of existing inline metering on test separator liquid and gas lines
  • Metering to replace failed instruments without facility modifications or CAPEX
Value to client
  • The customer was able to successfully perform a zero flaring well unloading campaign and well testing utilising the existing infrastructure
  • The Step Rate Test (SRT) water injectivity testing was performed on two wells in order to validate the performance of downhole Interval Control Valve (ICV) and existing orifice meters
  • Expro identified metering locations that required future maintenance or replacement
  • We provided calibration, verification and/or correction of existing working metering devices
  • Operations were performed on a portable basis without modification or facility shutdown, which allowed the customer to optimise costs and time
