CoreCide is a highly effective biocide surfactant for use in water-based drilling fluids, flushing fluids and packer fluids to prevent the growth of bacteria, including the corrosion-supporting S.R.B, fungi and yeasts.
It is compatible with all brine types, with sea water and, when used as directed, is fully compatible with CoreHib corrosion inhibitor and with CoreOxy oxygen scavenger.
While it is not compatible with bisulfite or sulfite-based scavengers, it is an effective and safer alternative to glutaraldehyde and is completely water-miscible. The fluid is readily biodegradable and will not bio-accumulate, making this a very environmentally responsible biocide additive.
CoreCide has been registered with CEFAS and has been awarded the Gold band, the highest possible environmental rating.
