Designed for use in sea water, brine flushing fluids, packer fluids and other water-based fluids, CoreOxy is a safe and environmentally friendly oxygen scavenger to assist in preventing oxygen-mediated corrosion of steel.
It is normally used in conjunction with aqueous film-forming corrosion inhibitors to provide enhanced action. Compatible with all brine types and suitable for use at temperatures up to and over 160°C, CoreOxy is free from sulfite and toxic hydrazines.
To retain stability in long-term storage, it can be stored in its dry powder. It reacts instantly with dissolved oxygen when dispersed in water or brine. CoreOxy is registered with CEFAS and has been awarded the Gold band, the highest possible environmental rating.
