CoreClean is a water and brine-immiscible solvent product for use in oil-based drilling fluid displacements.
It is ideally used as the first pill after mud-pumping, when it will substantially reduce the mud viscosity. It also allows for the removal of gross amounts of mud together with any traces of other viscous hydrocarbons.
This fluid provides an excellent gross mud sweep, allowing the following weighted surfactant pills to provide exceptional final casing cleanliness and surface wetting. The balanced formula provides a much more rapid mud penetration and more effective viscosity reduction than simple base-oil pills.
