Problem
A client operating in the Eagleford Shale formation encountered a casing leak during real-time frac operations inside their 5 1/2"” 23# production liner. The provided solution needed to be able to withstand high pressures of 12,000psi in order to stimulate the well as originally planned.
Solution And Achievement
Coretrax deployed a 120ft, ReLine MNS patch with a large post-expansion ID in order to isolate the leak and subsequently pressure tested the patch to 12,000psi. The operator then ran extended range frac plugs in order to stimulate the reservoir that would have been abandoned.
This differentiated solution provides a single trip installation design without any shoe to mill post-expansion, enabling the relining and isolation of various casing integrity concerns without the concern of debris downhole post-installation. The unique design of the system allows the liner to be set in neutral or compression, a significant advantage for high pressure, high temperature applications across the globe.
The product worked as designed, pushing the boundaries of effective integrity options on the market. The project was delivered within 24 hours of the initial request, minimizing downtime and providing an effective isolation solution.
